Sketchbook Samples

You will be required to submit 10 pages from your recent sketchbook(s) as part of the animation BFA application. We want to see how you think and solve visual problems in your personal sketchbook! As we review your submissions, special attention will be given to your method of study and practice, your skill-level, and your understanding of various artistic principles such as line, motion, and gesture. We encourage you to have fun as you prepare your sketchbook— it should be a mental playground for ideas and polishing your skills. We also encourage you to practice by mimicking industry artists' styles and subject matters to expand your abilities. Please do not include anime in your sketchbook.
