BYU Animation Short Films
Every year, students in the Animation Program have the opportunity to pitch, select, direct, and produce a film as a group. With each class consisting of roughly 20-25 students, producing one short film of professional quality in a year can be quite a daunting task— one that takes major animation studios like Disney or Pixar over a year to make with millions of dollars and a full-time staff. Because of the extraordinary teamwork and collaboration of the students in this program, they are able to achieve the impossible and put together short films that regularly win Academy Awards and Student Emmys. We hope you enjoy viewing the work of our students from over the years.
Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation, College Television Awards. (Student Emmys)
(These are universally called the Student Emmys. Emmys are a trademarked name for the regular Emmys and are not to be used for this award. The voting is by same academy members as Emmys, same organization, etc; just not officially called Student Emmy.)
