DESAN 160 - Intro to 2D Animation Skills

Introduction to 2D Animation

The Intro to 2D Animation course is designed to teach you the basics of the twelve principles of animation. Your first assignment will be to animate a bouncing ball with believable physics and motion. Your second and most important assignment will be to animate a flour sack with expressive personality and storytelling. You will be required to submit at least one example of animation in your application portfolio, and the animations from this class may be used for that requirement. When reviewing portfolios, special attention will be given to the student's understanding of weight, motion, physics, acting, personality, composition, and creative storytelling.
