BYU Center for Animation Awards
Since the very beginning of the program, the students of the BYU Center for Animation have earned many awards and recognitions for their yearly animated films and game projects. Some significant award titles and film festivals include the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation (commonly referred to as “Student Emmys”), Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (also referred to as “Student Academy Awards”), ACM Siggraph, Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Houston WorldFest, Cannes Film Festival, Annecy Film Festival, and the Nickelodeon Animation Festival.
Below is a list of awards won over the years. We continue to be extremely proud as we watch our students succeed year after year as a direct result of their hard work and dedication. We wish the best for our students and hope they will continue to make a great impact wherever they may go.
Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation, College Television Awards. (Student Emmys)
(These are universally called the Student Emmys. Emmys are a trademarked name for the regular Emmys and are not to be used for this award. The voting is by same academy members as Emmys, same organization, etc; just not officially called Student Emmy.)
